In response to a client’s reques, Dupuis Design crafted a symmetrical layout for their living room, focusing on both sides of the fireplace. Floating glass shelving and storage were added, providing a visually balanced and functional element that allows for the display of decorative items and essential storage. To enhance the room’s overall layout, the client's existing sofa, chaise, and area rug were incorporated. A beautiful wood coffee table from RH Modern was introduced to add warmth, breaking the dominance of blue and white hues and creating a more inviting and balanced atmosphere.
For technology, Peggy suggested replacing the current TV with the Samsung Frame TV. This innovative option transforms the screen into a work of art when not in use, blending seamlessly with the room's overall aesthetic. This not only adds a stylish touch but also allows for a more cohesive and unobtrusive look when the TV is not being actively watched. By incorporating these design elements, Peggy successfully created a more visually pleasing and functional living room space for the client.
Additionally, Peggy transformed a small, rectangular space into a functional and serene home office that doubles as a guest room. Inspired by a print on the client's wall, she incorporated shades of pink into the design. The office features a desk and ample storage for office supplies, as well as a cozy sofa bed with aubergine velour upholstery that matches the pink wall. This well-designed space allows for calm and productive work while providing a comfortable sleeping area for guests, ensuring versatility and elegance.
